FCSS is proud to be a partner in the Wetaskiwin Secret Santa campaign. A community coming together to help those in need is the goal of the Secret Santa program. Over the years, individuals, organizations and businesses throughout Wetaskiwin and area have always come through for those in our community who could use a helping hand during the Christmas season.
Wetaskiwin Secret Santa provides families with food certificates and toys for children ranging from infant to age 16. Applications must be made in person. Proof of current residential address and Alberta Health Care cards for all children must be presented at the time of the application. Applicants must live in the City of Wetaskiwin or the County of Wetaskiwin, within the boundary from Highway 2 East to the Camrose County line. Applications for hampers and food certificates are being accepted at the Salvation Army Church (5010 51 Avenue Wetaskiwin, AB) Tuesday through Friday from 9 am until 6 pm. The last day to apply for Secret Santa offerings is Tuesday, December 10, 2019.
A new, exciting program being offered this year is Adopt-a-Family! Community members, organizations, or businesses can ‘adopt’ a Secret Santa applicant by buying the gifts requested for their Holiday Hamper. Please call FCSS at 780.361.4425 for details.
Holiday Hampers to be Picked Up
A change this year for Secret Santa is that holiday hampers will be picked-up instead of being delivered—as they have been in past years. This will allow applicants to pick up their hamper at a time that is convenient for their schedule and ensures their privacy is protected. The hamper pick-up day will be Tuesday, December 17 from 8 am until 1 pm, and again from 5 pm until 8 pm at the Civic Building (4904 - 51 Street, Wetaskiwin).
The Civic Building is the new headquarters for the Secret Santa Campaign, and gives the program a chance to expand community involvement by having hampers created over multiple weeks instead of only two days. More volunteer shifts are now available, so if you’re interested in helping out with the holiday hampers this year please email email@example.com or call the Wetaskiwin FCSS office at 780.361.4425.
Secret Santa Donation Drop-Off Locations

If you would like to give a cash donation to help cover the cost of the food certificates, they will be gratefully accepted at City of Wetaskiwin FCSS (3rd floor, 4705 - 50 Avenue, Wetaskiwin).
