The City of Wetaskiwin extends sincere condolences following the tragic death of two members of the Edmonton Police Service — Const. Brett Ryan, 30, and Const. Travis Jordan, 35 — who were killed in the line of duty in the early morning hours of Thursday, March 16.
We join communities and first responders across the province and country in mourning the loss of these officers who made the ultimate sacrifice while serving their community.
"We are devastated following the tragic news of two Edmonton Police Service members being killed in the line of duty," said Mayor Tyler Gandam. "Our sincere condolences to the members' families, the Edmonton Police Service, and the Edmonton community who have suffered an incredible loss."
Flags have been lowered to half-mast at City facilities in honour of Const. Ryan and Const. Jordan.
