Seeking Members at Large for Assessment Review Boards

The City of Wetaskiwin is seeking up to three (3) members at large to serve on its Assessment Review Boards.  The purpose of the Boards is to hear and consider property assessment-related complaints (and associated issues).  The Boards meet annually when required, and in any given year there can be many, few or no complaints to be heard by the Boards.  Each Board member must attend and complete a mandatory four (4) day training program and successfully complete an exam.  The City pays expenses and honorarium for members to attend training and hearings.

In considering applicants, City Council will give preference to City of Wetaskiwin or County of Wetaskiwin residents, or those who own or operate businesses within Wetaskiwin (though this opportunity is open to any eligible adult resident of Alberta).

Interested parties are required to complete an application form and to return it to Lucien Cloutier, City Clerk at or in person at City Hall (4705 – 50 Avenue, Wetaskiwin).

For further information, contact Lucien Cloutier, City Clerk at 780-361-4459 or email him at the above noted address.
