Can I sell my plot back to the City of Wetaskiwin?

Yes! However, as per the Province of Alberta Cemeteries Act, municipalities are only required to pay back 85 per cent of the current market value of the plot and all other pre-paid fees will be forfeited.

The City of Wetaskiwin will require a letter in writing of your intention to sell your plot back to the City of Wetaskiwin and proof of ownership before proceeding with any reimbursement (deed, proof of executor of the estate, etc.).

Call the Operations Facility office at 780.361.4436 for more details.
