Volunteer Services
Get Involved in Your Community
An integral part of our FCSS programs are volunteers. Volunteer Services provides coordination, recruitment, training, and support to FCSS direct service program volunteers, as well as information and volunteer referral services to the community.

Meals on Wheels - Delivery Volunteers

FCSS provides volunteer coordination of volunteers to deliver Meals on Wheels to clients in the community and needs your help. The time commitment for this volunteer position is one day every four weeks for approximately one hour.

Volunteers need to be available for their assigned day, to pick up and deliver hot, nutritious meals from 11:30 am to approximately 1:00 pm.

You can certainly volunteer on your own, however, it can be easier and more fun if you find a friend or family member to volunteer with you. This is a rewarding volunteer position and is very important to our community members who rely in the program.

For more information or to sign up, please contact FCSS at (780) 361-4425.

Community Volunteer Referral Service
Are you looking for a volunteer position? Would you like to help out in your community but are unsure of what is available? Give our office and call and we can assist you by referring you to organizations or agencies in Wetaskiwin that may be a match for your interests. Contact us at (780) 361-4425 or email.

National Volunteer Week Celebrations
FCSS is proud to be a part of our regional Volunteer Week Celebrations since it’s commencement in 1992. Volunteer week activities are planned and coordinated by a Committee whose members are representatives from a variety of volunteer and non-profit organizations throughout the City and County of Wetaskiwin and the Town of Millet.

Wetaskiwin & Area Leaders of Tomorrow Awards
The City of Wetaskiwin, through FCSS, is proud to be a supporter and sponsor of the Wetaskiwin and Area Leaders of Tomorrow Awards since the commencement of the program in 1995.
