Wetaskiwin Parks & Trails
The City promotes healthy, active living, and recognizes the crucial role our local parks and trail system play in maintaining this vision.

The Wetaskiwin Ashoro Friendship Park was created in honour of the 20-year relationship with our sister City of Ashoro, Japan. Inspired by Japanese design, the park is nestled in a residential area providing a relaxing atmosphere.

A superb day-use facility featuring a 17-acre man-made lake with a 2.5 kilometre paved trail winding its way around it. A large picnic area and playground make this an ideal spot to spend a summer afternoon with family and friends.

Diamond Jubilee Park

Recently revitalized and featuring a newly-constructed community amphitheatre, Diamond Jubilee Park is a perfect pit stop on your way to Wetaskiwin's downtown core. Paved trails guide you around this gorgeous green-space, and connect at the park's center where our cenotaph (a memorial to Fallen Comrades in the Canadian Forces) proudly stands.

Peace Hills Park
