Rent a Space for Sports, Events, Meetings and Celebrations

Whether you're planning a community event, hosting a sports tournament, or booking a private function, the City of Wetaskiwin offers a variety of high-quality, cost-effective rental spaces to suit your needs. From arenas and recreation facilities to parks, ball diamonds, and multi-purpose rooms, you’ll find the perfect venue for groups of any size.

Ice Rentals

Wetaskiwin’s twin arenas are located inside Co-op Place at 4513 50 Avenue. In addition to Arena 1 and Arena 2, Co-op Place includes the Rec Hall, a meeting room, and a concession. All spaces, except the concession, are available to rent for birthday parties, tournaments, banquets, community programs, and other special events.

Both arenas feature ice surfaces, complete with standard boards and glass, ample spectator seating, multiple change rooms, and lobby access. Co-op Place also offers onsite parking, wheelchair accessibility, and seasonal concession availability, making it an ideal venue for team practices, regional tournaments, private bookings, and seasonal events.

  • Arena 2: capacity for 350

Rental fees start at: 

  • $119.661 an hour for youth.
  • $183.86 an hour for a local adult.
  • $236.39 an hour for a non-local adult.

Indoor Rooms & Group Spaces

The Rec Hall is one of Wetaskiwin’s most versatile indoor event spaces, bright, spacious, and easily adaptable for events of all sizes. With a capacity of up to 1,100 people, access to tables and chairs, ample parking, and on-site washrooms, Co-op Place Rec Hall is an excellent choice for tradeshows, markets, banquets, family gatherings, and a wide range of special events.

Capacity: Max 1100

Rental fees: $427.40 for a full day during prime times. Half-day and non-prime rates are also available upon request.

This elevated meeting space overlooks Arena 2, providing a unique and functional venue with seating, tables, and access to the arena lobby.  Ideal for meetings, team gatherings, workshops, birthday parties, training sessions, and community programs.

Capacity: 50 people

Rental fees starting at $39.89 an hour or $239.34 for a full day

Knights of Columbus Park Centre at By-the-Lake Park provides a scenic lakeside setting that’s perfect for gatherings. The event facility accommodates up to 80 people and features a walk-out balcony overlooking the park, full kitchen facilities, a bar counter, and wheelchair accessibility. It’s an ideal venue for weddings, family celebrations, birthdays, corporate events, and workshops.

Capacity: Max 80

Rental fees start at $182.36+gst for half a day and $353.32+gst for a full day (4 or more hours). Booking requires a $500 rental deposit.

Manluk Centre: Room Rentals & Group Bookings

Looking for an affordable, flexible, and family-friendly event space in Wetaskiwin? The Manluk Regional Aquatic & Fitness Centre offers a variety of multi-purpose rooms, ideal for birthday parties, meetings, workshops, team gatherings, and community programs. All rooms are fully accessible, and the facility includes elevator access, making it easy for all guests to enjoy their visit.

Group Bookings: Room rentals come with a 20 per cent admission discount to the facility. Group bookings of 20 or more can also take advantage of the 20 per cent admission discount to the facility.

Can I bring decorations?
Yes, you can bring your own decorations. Please ensure they are put up using green painters’ tape or sticky tac only to protect the walls and surfaces.

Do I have to set up tables and chairs myself?
No. When booking your room, let employees know how many tables and chairs you need. We will have the room set up and ready for you when you arrive.

What if I have to cancel my booking?
If you need to cancel, please notify us as soon as possible. All cancellations must be made at least 48 hours in advance. According to City policy, cancellations are issued as account credits only—refunds cannot be provided.

Located on the main floor with convenient direct access to the pool deck, the Party Room is an ideal space for birthday parties, family gatherings, and small events. This room accommodates up to 20 people and includes a microwave, small fridge, and sink for easy food and beverage setup.

Located on the second floor, this flexible space accommodates up to 30 people and is ideal for group programs, workshops, community activities, and mid-size celebrations.

The Multi-purpose Room is located on the second floor and offers a capacity of up to 50 people. Great for birthday parties, fitness groups, team meetings, and private events. The room has two sinks, a microwave, tables, and chairs.
