New Recycling Centre Hours

Wetaskiwin City Council has approved reduced hours at the Recycling Centre (5707 51 Street), ending 24‑hour access after a unanimous vote on December 9. The gates will now be closed nightly from 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. due to increased loitering, vandalism, and theft. The centre will remain open daily, with City crews monitoring the site throughout the day.
