The next Committee of the Whole and the Regular City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, October 13, 2026, at Wetaskiwin City Hall at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively.

A public hearing for Bylaw 2115-26 Amending Land Use Bylaw 1804-13 to add Health Service to M1 Light Industrial District and M2 Heavy Industrial District will take place at 4  p.m. as part of the Regular City Council Meeting. 

Select City Facilities will be closed for Thanksgiving on Monday, October 12, 2026. 

Deputy Mayor Karen Aberle shared a statement in recognition of the National Day of Truth and Reconciliation. 

You are invited to provide input on Bylaw 2115-26. This bylaw would amend the City’s Land Use Bylaw to make Health Service a discretionary use in the M1 Light Industrial and M2 Heavy Industrial districts. Health Service is not currently allowed in these districts.

The next Committee of the Whole and the Regular City Council meeting will take place on Tuesday, September 22, 2026, at Wetaskiwin City Hall at 9 a.m. and 4 p.m., respectively. 

Starting October 5, 2026, recycling in Wetaskiwin will be more convenient with access to new curbside recycling pick-up.
