The property tax payment deadline is June 30, 2026. Residents can pay their property taxes in-person, online, or through PaySimply.
Various City Facilities will be closed on Wednesday, July 1, 2026, for Canada Day. Garbage and organics pickup will continue as normally scheduled; if your regular pickup day is Wednesday, your waste will be collected on Wednesday. Please place your cart(s) at the curb by 7 a.m.
Rehabilitation work is set to begin on 40 Avenue from 56 Street to the CPKC Rail Crossing on Thursday, June 18, 2026, resulting in temporary traffic disruptions.

The City of Wetaskiwin has issued a business licence to Energyvise Ltd. Representatives from Energyvise Ltd. are going door-to-door in Wetaskiwin to discuss the Clean Energy Improvement Program (CEIP). Legitimate representatives of Energyvise Ltd. can produce a business licence upon request and will not ask for money up front. Please continue to exercise caution when responding to advertisements or sales representatives.
The City of Wetaskiwin is not affiliated with Energyvise Ltd. We want to remind the community that no one from the City or Alberta Municipalities is going door-to-door as part of the Clean Energy Improvement Program or the Solar Installation Grant Program, both of which are now fully subscribed and have a waiting list.
