Alberta Municipalities Benefits Report Administration provided a report investigating the cost difference of subscribing to benefits through Alberta Municipalities versus other providers at Council’s request.

Assessment Audit Report 2024 Roll (Tax Year 2025) The Government of Alberta randomly selects municipalities to audit their assessment process to ensure assessment equity and legislative compliance. The City of Wetaskiwin’s assessment roll for the 2025 tax year was audited and found to have met legislated standards and adhered to most of the best practices used in property assessment preparation. Four recommendations were highlighted in the report, which have been addressed.

Wetaskiwin & Area Lodge Authority Audited Financial Statement The Wetaskiwin and Area Lodge Authority Audited Financial Statements provide a report of the financial position of the organization as of December 31, 2025.
Reserve Policy CO-013
The reserve policy establishes the City’s reserve accounts that are used for emergent or future financial needs, to stabilize tax rates, reduce the need for debt financing, and to set aside funds for the replacement of existing equipment, facilities, and future projects. Council approved the policy as amended.
Bylaw 2106-26 Amending Land Use Bylaw 1804-03
The proposed amendment would allow buildings to be relocated from one site onto another site within the City, which is currently prohibited by the Land Use Bylaw. The amendment would also update appeal timelines to align with the Municipal Government Act and consolidate development security provisions from Safety Codes Policy CO-026 into the Land Use Bylaw.
A public hearing has been scheduled for Monday, May 12, 2026, at 9 a.m. in Council Chambers to invite the community to provide input on the proposed amendment.
