Council Action Task Summary as of May 14, 2026 The Council Action Task Summary provides an overview of ongoing and recently completed actions Council directed Administration to complete at previous Council Meetings.

Delegation: Wetaskiwin Public Library – 2025 Year in Review The Wetaskiwin Public Library appeared before Council to present a year in review for the Wetaskiwin Public Library, which included an overview of community events and initiatives hosted through the Library. They also provided an update indicating that the Wetaskiwin Public Library has regained its charitable status and outlined a plan to maintain that status.

Quarterly Finance Report as of March 2026 The Quarterly Finance Report provides a comprehensive overview of the City of Wetaskiwin’s financial performance and key highlights for the first quarter of 2026 (January 1 to March 31, 2026).

Quarterly Recreation Department Report The Quarterly Recreation Department Report provides a year in review for recreation services provided in 2025 and an overview of services provided in the first quarter of 2026 (January 1, 2026, to March 31, 2026).

Monthly City Manager Report to Council and the Community The City Manager Report is an ongoing monthly opportunity to update Council and the community on City operations and public events. The monthly report now includes a more robust process for reporting on operating and capital projects.

Council directed Administration to transfer the titles of properties in arrears that were unsold at the tax recovery public auction in 2024 to the City of Wetaskiwin through tax forfeiture to get them appraised and listed for sale through a local realtor.
The City of Wetaskiwin will raise the Boys and Girls Club (BGC) Flag at Wetaskiwin City Hall on June 5, 2026, in recognition of BGC Club Day, celebrating the impact that these clubs have on their communities.
