Tax notices have been mailed out as of May 15, 2026, and you can also access your property assessment and taxes on Virtual City Hall. The property tax payment deadline is June 30, 3026, and residents have the following options to pay their property taxes:
- In-person: Wetaskiwin City Hall (4705 50 Avenue) is open to the public Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. You can pay your property taxes in-person during regular business hours. Cash, debit, cheque, or money order are accepted forms of payment at city hall.
- Online: Pay taxes using your bank's online services or apps, available through Virtual City Hall.
- PaySimply: Use PaySimply.ca — a secure, third-party Canadian payment provider — to pay your taxes via major credit card, Interac e-Transfer, in-person at a Canada Post office using cash or debit, and PayPal.
More information on property taxation is available here.
Property taxes help fund what’s important to the community. The City of Wetaskiwin groups spending into four main focus areas that show how we invest in:
- Building the City
- Maintaining the City
- Keeping the City Safe
- Enjoying the City
If you are curious how your taxes are spent in the four areas, you can read the 2026 Budget Breakdown here.
