Electronics & Hazardous Waste
Electronics and Household Hazardous Waste Roundup
The Household Hazardous Waste (HHW) Roundup is a special biannual collection event during the spring and fall. It allows residents to remove hazardous substances from their homes for safe treatment and disposal at no charge.
Hazardous wastes, generally, are discarded materials (liquids, solids, and aerosols) that may cause harm to human beings, animals, plants, or the environment unless given special handling or treatment. Because of their dangerous characteristics (e.g., toxic, flammable, corrosive), hazardous wastes demand special treatment so as not to endanger our land, air, and water.
The roundup is for residential products only. Hazardous waste from a commercial business will not be accepted. Propane tanks are accepted at service stations that provide propane tank refills. For more information, please phone the Operations Facility at 780.361.4436.
