Community & Protective Services

The Community & Protective Services Division is dedicated to enhancing the health, safety, and quality of life of Wetaskiwin residents. Through recreation, playgrounds, culture, community development, bylaw enforcement, and fire services, the Division provides programs, facilities, and services that support active lifestyles, community connectedness, and public safety.

The Division works to create welcoming public spaces, promote community engagement, encourage recreation and wellness opportunities, and protect people and property through effective emergency response and regulatory enforcement. By fostering strong neighbourhoods and delivering responsive services, the Division helps make the City a safe, vibrant, and inclusive place to live, work, and visit.
