Planning & Engineering

The Planning & Engineering Division has three interconnected departments.

The Dreamers: Economic Development uses a process to guide the growth of jobs, investment in the community, and an expanded tax base that strengthens community wealth, inclusion, and resilience. Successful economic development recognizes that factors such as workforce availability, housing, infrastructure, education, health services, community amenities, and quality of life all influence a community's ability to attract investment, support businesses, and remain competitive.

The Planners: Planning & Development focuses on determining the design and orderly development of land within a community, ensuring it aligns with the community's needs and available resources.

The Doers: Engineering is concerned with the municipal infrastructure within a community. How the infrastructure exists within the planned areas to ensure the design, construction, and maintenance of roads, sidewalks, water supply, wastewater collection, drainage, parks, and open spaces all work together
