Starting October 5, 2026, recycling in Wetaskiwin will be more convenient with access to new curbside recycling pick-up. 

The City of Wetaskiwin has issued a business licence to MCSnet, allowing them to conduct door-to-door sales of high-speed internet services. Legitimate MCSnet representatives can provide a valid business licence upon request. 

Please continue to exercise caution when responding to advertisements or sales representatives.

Council will hold a Public Hearing on August 11 at 4 p.m. in Council Chambers to hear community feedback on the proposed Evergreen Area Structure Plan bylaws.

Family and Community Support Services (FCSS) Wetaskiwin is seeking community-minded residents to serve on its Governing Board of Directors. This is an opportunity to help guide programs and services that strengthen the social well-being of individuals and families throughout our community.

Crews will move onto Tuesday's residential waste collection route tonight, Tuesday, May 26, 2026, at 7 p.m. They will move through residential areas until they are complete.

As crews move through neighbourhoods, temporary No Parking signs will be posted. Please move your vehicles off the street when you see signage. Crews will not return to areas where parts of the street cannot be cleaned due to parked vehicles.
