Wetaskiwin is now a Crime Stoppers Community

The City of Wetaskiwin is proud to be a Crime Stoppers Community, empowering residents to anonymously report crimes and help create a safer community.
Crime Stoppers works with law enforcement and community partners to provide a secure, anonymous way to share information about criminal activity. “We provide Albertans with a safe and anonymous means to report criminal activity, support law enforcement, and enhance public safety,” said Derek Bechthold, Executive Director of the Alberta Crime Stoppers Association.
Inspector John Spaans of the Wetaskiwin RCMP encourages residents to use the service: “Your tip may be the last piece of information needed for a successful investigation.”
The Rural Crime Stoppers Campaign raises awareness in smaller communities and encourages everyone to get involved in making Alberta safer. As Board Chair Mark Holik says, “Anyone can be a Crime Stopper.”
Submit anonymous tips by calling 1-800-222-TIPS (8477), visiting p3tips.com, or using the P3 Tips app, available on Google Play and the Apple Store. Learn more at crimestoppers.ab.ca.
