Communications & Legislative Services

Communicating and Connecting with Community

Wetaskiwin residents and stakeholders want — and deserve — to know what their municipal government is doing to serve the community. They expect to be informed on emerging issues and important City Council decisions, and regular external communication using multiple channels and platforms is required to achieve this.

The City's communications function supports efficient, accurate, and positive communication with Wetaskiwin residents/stakeholders through:

  • Managing the City's website, engagement portal, and social media platforms.
  • Creating and co-ordinating materials for print and online media.
  • Providing strategic communications advice and services to City departments, as well as senior leadership.
